Home / Field Trips / Adventurers wade into the water for deeper learning!

This Fall, the Adventurers visited The Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Association for their first field trip of the school year.  It was a busy day, packed with fun-filled activities.  From studying leaves to trudging into the river to collect macro invertebrates, the Adventurers’ put their observation skills as well as four out of their five senses to the test (no macro invertebrates were taste-tested!)  After a quick lunch, the Adventurers found themselves stretching their legs for an intense game of “Flash Frozen Critters” – a fast paced game having to do with the food chain.  To end their day, the Adventurers learned about water run-off/pollution through the use of an enviroscape model.  The Adventurers rated this field trip a five-star experience!
